Vice Magazine has published a 3 part documentary online series following the use and promise of the PrEP in the US, where it’s currently available.

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is the newest preventative tool against HIV transmission. Taken once a day, the pill can significantly reduce the risk of contracting HIV. Vice Magazine published a 3 part documentary online series following the use and promise of the drug in the US, where it’s currently available: an interesting insight to the future of the battle against HIV.

Currently PrEP (Truvada) has not been approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia (TGA) which is the body responsible for approving subsidising the costs of drugs in Australia. You can however learn more about PrEP and how to access PrEP in NSW here.
