‘What would you do?’ is an American hidden-camera show that uses actors and hidden cameras to create scenarios of conflict or dilemma – and then captures how people react.
Last month, they filmed an instalment that looked at how people react when faced with a situation of blatant anti-gay discrimination.
The set involved two actors portraying a gay couple dining at a restaurant, while a third played a loudly outspoken customer angered by the pair kissing. What followed next was a vast mix of reactions from the by-standing customers, some of which reacted in defence of the gay pair and others not much at all.
