Ending HIV might sounds ambitious and revolutionary, but it is actually possible, and not only in NSW Australia.

Governments and organisations across the world are working to end the HIV epidemic in their own countries, by encouraging people to test more, consider treatment earlier for HIV+ people and promoting safe sex.

1. IT STARTS WITH ME (UK)

“It Starts With Me” is the latest initiative from the Terrence Higgins Trust in the UK, and promotes testing, treatment and condom use to stop transmissions.

2. AIDS ENDS HERE (USA)

Developed by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, this video highlights the organization’s bold new goals, and how they are working to make San Francisco the place where HIV/AIDS ends first.

3. CHANGE HIVSTORY (CANADA)

This campaign video, part of the ‘Change HIVstory’ campaign was developed in Vancouver and encourages people step up and get tested to begin the end of HIV.

4. ENDING HIV – I’M IN (NSW – AUSTRALIA)

‘Ending HIV’ is a community mobilisation initiative encouraging gay men to test more, consider early treatment if they are HIV+ and continue to stay safe, in order to end HIV transmissions in NSW by 80% by 2020.

5. SUCK. FUCK. TEST. REPEAT. (THAILAND)

Community organisations in Bangkok joined last week to launch a campaign called ‘TestBKK’ to increase HIV testing awareness among gay guys.
