Express your interest using the form below to be part of Ending HIV’s Mardi Gras 2025 Campaign. 

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN: 

The vision of the Ending HIV initiative is to see the elimination of HIV notifications in NSW. This is achievable by encouraging all sexually active gay and bisexual men to test often for HIV and STIs, take treatment early and practise safe sex in all its forms. 

The next campaign will have a message about how the HIV landscape has changed over the years, as well as what it looks like today and is called THIS IS ENDING HIV. Its launch will coincide with ACON’s 40th anniversary year and will be live during the Mardi Gras 2025 festival. 

VIDEO 

We are seeking community members to take part in video content. Each participant will speak about one of five HIV topics: 

• HIV and STI testing 

• HIV treatment 

• Condoms 

• PrEP 

• HIV stigma 

Each video will incorporate archival footage about the HIV topic, with a message about how it has changed. 

A script will be provided as a guide however where possible, we welcome participants to add their own anecdotes or experiences regarding the video topic. Participants will be reading from a teleprompter, direct to camera. 

The style will be like TikTok videos – fun, short, educational and with a bit of humour.

The videos will be shared via Ending HIV’s online and social channels such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. 

We are after a group of diverse guys (cis and trans) – all ages, ethnicities, body types and personal styles welcome! All submissions will undergo a vetting process and selections made to ensure as best representation of the wider community as possible. 

SHOOT DETAILS: 

• Date: Tuesday 10th of December 

• Duration: You may be required for around 1 hour.  

• Location: Sydney location, TBC

• 2 current photos of yourself ie selfie/headshot and full length. 

• A short video of yourself telling us why you want to be in the campaign and which of the five HIV topics (HIV/STI testing, HIV treatment, condoms, PrEP or stigma) you would want to speak about. If you have a short story or an experience you’d like to share, please do!
