ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN:
ACON is developing a campaign to promote our M3THOD service – a peer service for people who engage in sexualised drug use. Sexualised drug use is a term that describes the use of drugs like crystal methamphetamine and/or GHB in sexual settings. It’s also known as PNP, chemsex, or wired fun in the community.
Not everyone who combines drugs and sex will experience negative impacts on their everyday life. However, some of us do experience harms and want to reflect on our experiences, or perhaps even change our relationship with sexualised drug use. Wherever you are at in your journey, from first timers to those who have been in recovery, we want to hear your stories.
Understanding the sensitive nature of the topic, you can elect to participate in the campaign in an anonymous way, if you prefer.
ACON’s M3THOD campaign will feature community members who have lived experience of sexualised drug use. The aim of the campaign is to showcase the strength and real-life stories of our community, and share people’s experiences with the M3THOD peer service if they have been a participant in the past.

Are you single? Are you a couple? Or a group of people? There is the opportunity to feature you and your partner(s) together in the campaign.
DIVERSITY
We are after a diverse group of people to be part of this campaign. This includes people of diverse sexualities, genders, cultural backgrounds, HIV status, shapes, and sizes. However, a personal lived experience with sexualised drug use is preferred.
PRODUCTION DETAILS:
The campaign will consist of an audio recording and a video filming.
You can elect to participate in either the audio recording, or filming only, or both.
Audio recording
- Date: TBD (Dec 2nd)
- Location: A sound studio in inner-city Sydney (exact location to be determined)
- Duration: You will likely be required for one hour maximum
Video filming
- Date: TBD (Dec 3rd)
- Location: A central spot in Sydney (exact location to be determined)
- Duration: You will likely be required for one hour maximum
REQUIREMENTS:
- Comfortable speaking about your experience with sexualised drug use
- Comfortable to work with a production crew and convey emotions and expressions
